Wake Forest, NC
Population: 20,000

Located in northern Wake County, Wake Forest is a progressive community of over 20,000 residents with a vibrant downtown that boasts more than 100 businesses, including several outstanding restaurants and specialty shops. Mindful of its rich heritage, the downtown is also an officially registered historic district. Representative of its academic history, the town is the home of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Southeastern College at Wake Forest. Wake Forest maintains its small town character, while captivating newcomers and long-time residents alike.

The town of Wake Forest features numerous shopping and dining opportunities, mixed with cultural diversity. Parks, green spaces, and tree-lined streets add to the livability. The town offers schools, medical facilities, businesses, arts and attractions.

Wake Forest has developed a vision for downtown known as the Renaissance Plan for the Heart of Wake Forest. The initiative is the culmination of an intensive community input process designed to provide a foundation for revitalization efforts for the historic downtown core, as well as the future development of areas surrounding the historic Central Business District. The recently completed half-mile section of Franklin Street is the first constructive phase of the Renaissance Plan and is considered the newest gateway to downtown Wake Forest. In the coming months and years residents will observe other exciting changes throughout the area, including several road enhancements, Downtown Streetscape, and a new Town Hall.

Located less than an hour's drive from the major cities of Raleigh and Durham, Wake Forest enjoys mild year-round climate that still provides four distinct seasons; a lush, rolling landscape tailor made for everything from agriculture to golf; plentiful water and blue skies.

Several of Wake Forest’s attractions include:
The Factory - a sports and entertainment mall for parents and kids alike to eat, shop, and play. Kids can play soccer, go to dance lessons while parents shop and grab a bite to eat.

Hill Ridge Farms - is the Triangle's best destination for old fashioned, educational family fun, where your children and grandchildren can relive our heritage and enjoy a day in the country.
